5 Secrets to a ‘No-work’ Garden

Been a busy gardener lately? Why not try Greg Seaman’s of eartheasy.com secrets to “no-work garden”. These secrets are inspired by Masanobu Fukuoka’s book, One Straw Revolution which emphasizes on “do-nothing” techniques that increases your yields while demands less time and work. Secret #1 is the use of no-till gardening method. “No-till” gardening is a method which focuses on leaving the soil undisturbed by eliminating digging and tilling. Secret #2 is to keep on mulching. Apparently, mulch is an effective weed control and traps moisture too. Secret #3 is planting “green manure” cover crops between rotations. This technique complements well with “no-tilling” method. Secret #4 is growing in raised beds. Raised beds looks good in the garden and a  good weed control as well. Lastly, secret#5 is using soaker hose for watering.
